Day 2 Magaret River to Perth
Enjoy a sleep-in or browse the main street of Margaret River Township (for those staying in Margaret river) where you’ll discover quaint shops featuring works of local crafts people or maybe visit the Margaret River Wine Showroom and Visitor Centre.
Your hotel checkout time is 10.00am; please store your bags at reception in time for a 10.30am departure. If staying at Cape Lodge or Abbey Beach, please ensure you take your luggage with you and be ready for a 9.15am departure (Abbey Beach Resort passengers) or 9.50am (Cape Lodge passengers) as you as you will conclude your local winery tour in Margaret River today ready for your transfer back to Perth.
We tour 3 to 4 wineries today with an expert local touring company. Lunch will be a gourmet cafe style and as your guide is a local he’ll provide you with a great insight into wine appreciation. Margaret River is responsible for producing less than 2% of Australia’s wine but more than 25% of Australia’s premium wine, the selection will be impressive at the wineries you visit on tour.
To complete your indulgent experience you will also visit the Chocolate Factory, Cheese Factory and a local boutique brewery (time permitting).
Finish of your wine tour with a visit to the Venison Farm.
After collecting your luggage, you’ll rejoin your coach captain for the drive back to Perth stopping for dinner along the way at a local cafe (dinner at own expense). (BL)
