3 Day 4WD Kakadu and Litchfield Safari

Our 'SAFARI' product is designed for those wanting a comfortable but adventurous small group tour. SAFARI accommodation features twin share beds in spacious permanent tents with interior lights and fans and share bathroom facilities are located nearby. All linen, pillows and towels are provided. Our menu features quality produce and Australian wine with evening meals. In addition to the guide, a host will accompany the group when passenger numbers exceed 6 to further provide a better level of service and a greater variety of quality meals.

• A strict luggage limit of 10kg per person applies (in a soft bag or backpack).
• A good level of fitness is required and passengers must be able to walk and balance themselves independently on uneven ground.
• Single clients will be paired with another single traveller of the same sex - twin rate applies.

Child fares are available on most tours for passengers ages between 5-12 years. Touring is not suitable for infants 0-4 years. Note: New Zealand tours are suitable for passengers 12 year of age or older.

1. Day 1 Darwin to Point Stuart

   (Lunch & Dinner)

   

   
   We travel to magical Litchfield National Park to experience the stunning waterfalls that flow all year round. Visit Florence Falls where there is a chance to walk through rainforest or swim in the plunge pool below. Experience the natural spa at Buley Rockhole and a refreshing swim at Wangi Falls and discover the impressive termite mounds. This afternoon we head to the Pudakul Cultural Experience where you will meet some of the local Aboriginal people and learn about their culture, bush tucker, art and craft. 2. Day 2 Point Stuart to Kakadu

   We journey deep into Kakadu National Park with a chance for a swim this morning. For the more adventurous, there's a moderate hike to the top of Gunlom Falls which is rewarded with stunning views over Kakadu. Alternatively there's a more relaxed stroll to the base of the waterfall for a swim. Gain further insight into the Aboriginal culture at the Warradjan Cultural Centre then get ready for some 4WD action as we journey into Twin Falls. Access to the falls is via a short boat trip and walk over rocks to relax on the beach surrounded by the spectacular sandstone cliff faces. 3. Day 3 Kakadu to Darwin

   (Breakfast & Lunch)

   

   
   We start the day viewing ancient rock art galleries at Ubirr before climbing up the rocks to a lookout with 360 degree views over the floodplains and Kakadu wetlands. Relax aboard a three hour boat cruise on Corroboree Billabong, home to amazing birdlife, water lilies and the infamous saltwater crocodile. On our return journey to Darwin we visit the Window on the Wetlands Information Centre. (BL)
