South Australia is a state blessed with a stunning array of green hills, vast outback terrain and a picturesque coastline. The capital city of Adelaide is a vibrant hub with a range of Victorian architecture, lush green parks and excellent inner-city shopping. South Australia is also home to the famous Barossa and Clare Valleys, better known as the home of some of Australia’s best known wines. Kangaroo Island is renowned as one of Australia’s leading wildlife playgrounds with koalas, kangaroos, and seals guaranteed to be seen, and other animals on parade. For those that love their bushwalking the Flinders Ranges is unparalleled, with many vast gorges and views.

The South Australian climate is generally Mediterranean with dry and hot summers and reasonably cool winters.

Travel Tips
South Australia is lovely all year round but we recommend travelling between March and May or September and November as temperatures are warm and pleasant. December to February features some fantastic and enjoyable events and festivals.
